Our greatest successes in life are often found in helping others succeed. Our most lasting and fulfilling achievements are often earned by helping others fulfill theirs.
You might want to start something great and meaningful, but not know what that is yet or how to get there. It’s OK. Start by helping grow someone else’s “BIG IDEA” or joining an organization that gives you enough autonomy to showcase your abilities and focus on becoming the best Intrapreneur you can be.
You can build strong relationships by helping others succeed.
Go first. Forget about quid pro quo. Pay it forward. Do what you can for other people and you’ll build strong relationships that will help you become a personal and professional success and live a fulfilling life.
The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Just start helping
You’ll learn to start doing instead of simply wondering, stalling, hoping, wishing. Help hard. Be relentlessly resourceful to your supervisors/managers and when the time comes, you’ll have ample opportunity to steer a ship of your own.
